Otology focuses on diseases and disorders of the ears and is a subspecialty within the field of otolaryngology. Neurotology is also a subspecialty of otolaryngology but is more closely related to neurology and neurosurgery in addition to otology. People may seek medical intervention for more common ear concerns such as ear infections, Eustachian tube dysfunction, eardrum perforations, hearing loss or balance disorders. At Grand Rapids ENT, all of our physicians are specially trained in issues of the ears, nose and throat and are dedicated to providing the highest level care and treatment for all of our patients.
